All Carnival Corporation brands will skip visits to St. Petersburg for the rest of the year.
The Chairman of the Board of Carnival Corporation, Mickey Arison, tweeted out yesterday that all of their brands would be modifying their itineraries to avoid calls to Putinville.
Carnival Corporation tweeted that, "In light of the recent attacks by Russia in Ukraine, Carnival Corporation brands will be modifying our itineraries in the coming week once alternative ports can be confirmed. We stand for peace."
Brands with summer programs in the Baltic with calls to Saint Petersburg include Carnival Cruise Line, AIDA, Princess, Holland America, Seabourn, Cunard, P&O Cruises UK, and Costa, making up eight of the company's nine cruise brands.
This decision by Carnival follows the announcement by NCL Holdings and Atlas Ocean Voyages that they would not visit Russia this year.
